Facebook is changing News Feed (where most users interact with Facebook). Earlier this month, we linked to a story in the New York Timesoutlining “the most significant overhaul in years to Facebook’s News Feed.” The change is designed to give users more of the content they really care about, like posts from friends and family.
These changes mean Campaigns and Political Organizations should expect to reach fewer supporters organically via their pages (some estimates say 20% less). But Facebook’s VP in charge of the News Feed says Group content will be more heavily emphasized because of the conversation it generates.
This is a major opportunity for political marketers on Facebook where Groups are already being used with great success.
Download the LTO Strategy Guide for Facebook Groups here to learn how to get a Group up and running for your Facebook Page, how to grow your Groups, and what types of content are best shared in Groups.
